Apelido: Eminem, tirado das iniciais de seu nome Marshall Mathers, ou seja, M&M. Mas como o Eminem não podia usar o nome M&M por causa da companhia de chocolates, ele teve que mudar o nome para não ser processado, então escreveu o nome como é falado em inglês "Em-in-em".
Ego alternativo: Slim Shady. Criado por Eminem para representar o seu lado malvado, obscuro. Esse é o personagem que interpreta em suas músicas.

- Quando Eminem era pequeno ele vivia apanhando na escola, até que um dia um tal de D'Angelo Baily, da 8ª Série bateu tanto no Eminem que ele teve hemorragia cerebral, ficou 10 dias em coma. Em até fez uma música sobre isso, a música se chama Brain Damage.
- Sua mãe Debbie Mathers tocou numa banda com o seu ex-marido no começo dos anos 70 chamado Daddy Warbucks.
- Debbie ficou grávida do Marshall quando ela tinha apenas 17 anos de idade.
- Dia 14 de dezembro de 1991 morre seu melhor companheiro, Tio Ronnie. Ronnie tinha cometido suicídio com um tiro na cabeça. Eminem ficou muito triste.- Eminem e Kim começaram a namorar quando Kim tinha 13 anos de idade em 1988
